MARION – Grace’s volleyball team was unable to slow down Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday.

The Wildcats (14-3, 8-1 Crossroads League) own the longest winning streak in the league, picking up their sixth straight win with a 3-0 victory over Grace.

The Lady Lancers (10-7, 5-4 CL) could not keep IWU’s offense at bay as the Wildcats had 42 kills on a .366 percentage.

Grace dropped the opening set 25-13 and the third game 25-19.

The second set was the most hotly contested. The score went back-and-forth late and remained tied at 24-24. But IWU secured the set victory after an attack error from Grace and a Wildcat ace to win 26-24.

Kari Feddema was the strongest offensive player for Grace with 10 kills on 20 attempts. Sierra Smith had seven kills, and Lexy Oppenhuis had eight.

The Lady Lancers will continue league play on Wednesday against Spring Arbor at 7 p.m.
