WARSAW — The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center, operated in Fort Wayne, has decided to remove collection boxes from Kosciusko County due to an increase in unusable items and stealing from those collection points.

“Costs to haul items that can’t be used and even people dumping their trash has forced The Salvation Army to make this decision,” notes Major Bill Welch, local Salvation Army Director. “The Fort Wayne office has told us that their fees for trash removal have dramatically increased. To process this trash has added thousands of dollars to their budget which takes away from serving others.”

The ARC serves men who have alcohol addiction issues and the donations support the family stores in the area. At the present time, The Salvation Army does not have a store in Warsaw. Donations may still be picked-up in Warsaw with an appointment by calling (800) SA-TRUCK.
