Earl A. Brown
Earl A. Brown, 87, Nappanee, passed away at 9:08 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his family after a six month illness. He was born June 23, 1930 in Riceville, Ky. to Ed and Myrtie (Fraily) Brown.
Mr. Brown was a graduate of Silver Lake High School. He served with the United States Marines in Korea. On November 14, 1954, he married Zenal Grow in Decatur.
Earl retired from Champion Motor Homes. He was a member of Nappanee Missionary Church and Nappanee American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and woodworking.
Surviving is his wife, Zenal; children Michael (Rhonda) Brown, David (Marsha Jones) Brown, Kim (Kendall) Young, all of Nappanee; grandchildren, Kyle (Katie) Young, Dewart Lake, Kurt (Jennifer) Young, James (Lisa) Allen, Matthew, Brandon, Corey Brown all of Nappanee, Christina (Jake) Burris, Phoenix, Ariz.; 16 great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Metzger, Tampa, Fla.; brother, Bob (Noretta) Brown, Warsaw.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22 at Nappanee Missionary Church Chapel. Memorial services will begin at 4 p.m. Pastor Dave Engbrecht will officiate. Military services will take place after the service and inurnment will be in Union Center Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Goshen Hospice or Nappanee Missionary Church.
