Triton’s tennis team beat North Judson-San Pierre on all five courts in Hoosier North Athletic Conference action Thursday.

John Gardner’s, 6-1,6-7(2),10-8, super tiebreaker win over Hayden Kaminski at two singles completed the sweep. Keygan Mosier and Chase Butler beat Gavin Alonso and Caleb Shireman 6-4, 6-2 at one doubles, and Trevor Miller topped Blake Shell, 6-2, 6-3 at three singles.

Carter Kuntz put away Briker Stayrook 6-2, 6-0 at one singles, and Tyler Heckaman and Jared Bules handed Kyle Burkett and Zach Hughes a pair of bagels in a 6-0, 6-0 win at two doubles as the Trojas improved to 9-7 overall with a 5-1 HNAC mark.

Triton travels to the Portage Invite Saturday.

Volleyball
Triton’s volleyball team suffered a three-game loss to Bethany Christian Thursday night, 25-18, 25-22, 25-9.

Nicole Sechrist managed just 10 kills to go with 13 digs and three solo blocks, while Abbey Viers finished with four kills, and Lexia Hostrawser tallied two solo stuffs.

Hannah Wanemacher finished with 16 assists and nine digs.

Triton’s JV also lost, 25-18, 25-12.

The Trojans take on Winamac in Hoosier North Athletic Conference play next Tuesday.
