Anita Nell Hensley, 85, North Manchester, died at 8:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at Peabody Health Care Center in North Manchester. She was born Dec. 25, 1931 in High Splint, Kentucky to James R. Bryant and Lola (Price) Bryant Garson.

Anita married Delmer Lee Hensley, Sr., on Oct. 1, 1955 in Jonesville, Virginia; he died March 5, 2015. They lived in Lafayette while raising their family. She was a prayer warrior who dearly loved the Lord Jesus Christ.

She is survived by three children, Delmer L. (Melaney) Hensley, Jr. of Lafayette, Rita (C.J.) Overmyer of Silver Lake, and Randy (Ronda) Hensley of Indianapolis, four grandchildren, Kristin Dolick, Mark (Lisa) Dolick, Paige Carnahan, and Brian (Kim) Hensley, four step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

A private family memorial service is planned.
