LCA Soccer: Cougars Split At LaVille Tourney

LAKEVILLE – LCA split its two games at Saturday’s LaVille Soccer Invite at Newton Park.

The host Lancers cruised to a 4-0 win over LCA in the first match. LaVille peppered the goal with 10 shots on target, forcing LCA keeper Remington Swanson into six saves aside from the four potted shots.

In game two, LCA rebounded with a 4-2 win over Oregon-Davis. LCA’s shooting boots were strapped on against the Bobcats, taking 34 shots and 22 on target. Garrett McCoomb netted a pair for LCA and assisted on another. Garrett McKeever and Mark McQuade also scored, and Parker Stewart had two assists and Josh Turner helped on a goal.

Swanson and David Plastow combined for six saves to get the win.

LCA moves to 3-6 overall and will look forward to a meeting at Culver on Tuesday.
