Lynnette Marie Poe, 67, passed away at her home on Thursday, Aug. 24, in Syracuse.
Her husband, Allan and son Jeffrey survive her.
Originally from South Bend, they settled in Syracuse in 2007. She graduated from South Bend Washington H.S. in 1968. Afterward she attended Indiana University at South Bend, pursuing a degree in Business Management and Administration. She retired as an Administrative Assistant from Jordan Ford in 2008 and became heavily involved with the Lakeland Eagles Aerie 3760, in Syracuse.
Lynnette was a very passionate and extremely informed sports fan who loved the Chicago Cubs and all Notre Dame teams. One of the highlights of her life was when the Cubs became World Series Champs. She embraced life to its fullest. She enjoyed and looked forward to her weekly luncheons and occasional boating with her lady friends. Mostly though, she truly valued their companionship.
She was laid to rest in South Bend on Wednesday, Aug. 30. There will be a gathering at the Lakeland Eagles Aerie 3760, located just behind the Wawasee H.S. next to the new Elementary School from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 31st.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be directed to any local hospice organization.
