KOSCIUSKO — With the beginning of the school year, Cub Scout packs throughout Kosciusko County are gearing up for fall recruiting. Harrison Elementary Cub Scouts have changed the date of their recruiting night. 

Scout representatives will be at Harrison Elementary during the day on Wednesday, Aug. 30 to talk to the boys about joining the organization. A parent recruiting night will then be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 31 at Eastlake Skate Center in Warsaw. Parents may bring their children to enjoy free skating while learning about all the scouts has to offer.

Cub Scouting is open to boys in grades 1-5.  There is also a new program this year for Kindergarten boys called Lion Cubs.  Those interested in Lions may also attend the Joining Nights.

Other recruiting nights are as follows:

• Eisenhower and Washington Elementary — 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29 at First Christian Church.
• Jefferson Elementary — 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 28, at  Jefferson School Cafeteria.
• Leesburg Elementary — 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Leesburg Elementary Cafeteria.
• Madison Elementary — 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, at  Eastlake Skate Center (Free Skating)
• North Webster Elementary — 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 28, at North Webster Elementary Cafeteria.
• Cub Scout Packs at Claypool, Milford and Sacred Heart Elementary Schools are also planning Joining Nights beginning after Labor Day.
