Triton’s tennis team moved to a 2-0 start in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference with a 4-1 win over North Judson-San Pierre Tuesday.

Carter Kuntz beat Briker Stayrook 6-1, 6-2 at one singles, and John Garnder won a second-set tiebreak with Judson’s Gavin Alfonso at two singles to earn the Trojans another straight set win, 6-1, 7-6(4). Keygan Mosier and Chase Butler beat Judson’s one doubles tandem of Caleb Shireman and Blake Shell 6-2, 6-1, while Tyler Heckaman and Jared Bules blanked Gavin Legac and Zach Hughes at two doubt, 6-0, 6-0.

Judson’s only win came at three singles, where Hayden Kaminski topped Trevor Miller, 6-2, 6-3.

The Trojans move to 4-2 overall with the win. Judson drops to 0-2 and 0-1 in the HNAC.

Volleyball
Triton volleyball earned a four-game win over area rival Bremen, 25-19, 25-21, 25-27, 25-20.

Nicole Sechrist finished with an eye-popping 30 kills, while Charlotte Morris chipped in six as Hannah Wanemacher passed out 30 assists to go with three solo blocks for the Lady Trojans. Emma Ross recorded 16 digs, followed by Sydney Mussilli’s 11, and Musilli also served up four aces in the win. Abbey Viers finished with a pair of solo blocks for Triton.

Triton’s JV team lost to Bremen in two games, 25-20, 25-15.

The Trojans host Argos Thursday.

Golf
Triton golf lost a dual meet with visiting Manchester, 184-229, on the Trojans’ home course at Rozella-Ford Tuesday.

Alysha May shot 55 to pace Triton, followed closely by Whytnie Miller’s 56. Kate Gardner and Megan McFarland both shot 59, while Delanie Groves turned in a score of 61.

Kelsey Eichenquer shot a meet-low 44 for Manchester, and Madyson Ullery finished a stroke back for the visitors. Lydia Little turned in a 46, Sam Kissel shot 49, and Cora Barnett carded 50.
