EDWARDSBURG – Scott Erba added one more triathlon championship to his collection this past weekend as a final tune-up for the big stage.

The WCHS teacher claimed the top overall spot in the Eagle Lake Triathlon.

Erba was the top finisher in the competition, which included an 800-meter swim, 18.2-mile bike event and a 5.2-mile run.

Erba clocked in at 1:29.39 to win yet another title to add to his growing list since he stepped down as girls cross country and track coach at WCHS and returned to competition after a long layoff from the sport.

Erba will compete in the USA Triathlon Age Group Nationals this coming weekend in Omaha.
