MISHAWAKA — Vaccines for pets can get expensive; and the St. Joseph County Humane Society is offering one of them, for free.

The shelter will holds its 10th annual ‘Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic’ on Sunday, October 1 from 12-3 p.m.

Here is a list of locations, but more could be announced:

The Humane Society says all animals MUST be on a leash or confined in a carrier or they won’t be vaccinated. Animals must be 12 weeks of age or older and not pregnant. Legal owner must be present the entire time. Dogs & cats only, no ferrets. Vaccinations are first come first serve. All Michiana residents are welcome, even if you don’t live in St. Joseph County.
