Free Rabies Vaccinations Available Through St. Joseph Humane Society Oct. 1

MISHAWAKA Vaccines for pets can get expensive; and the St. Joseph County Humane Society is offering one of them, for free.

The shelter will holds its 10th annual ‘Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic’ on Sunday, October 1 from 12-3 p.m.

Here is a list of locations, but more could be announced:

Humane Society of St. Joseph County
2506 Grape Rd., Mishawaka

South West Fire Department
23626 Fillmore Rd., South Bend

Petco
415 University Court, Granger

Paw Mart– Mishawaka
306 N. Bittersweet, Mishawaka

North Liberty Town Hall
300 S. Main St., North Liberty

The Humane Society says all animals MUST be on a leash or confined in a carrier or they won’t be vaccinated. Animals must be 12 weeks of age or older and not pregnant. Legal owner must be present the entire time. Dogs & cats only, no ferrets. Vaccinations are first come first serve. All Michiana residents are welcome, even if you don’t live in St. Joseph County. If you have questions, contact the St. Joseph County Humane Society at 574-255-4726 ext. 0. Do not call the locations listed.
