PIERCETON — A little bit of Disney came to Pierceton tonight, Friday, Aug. 4. The Pierceton Days parade started at 7 p.m. and this year’s theme was “Disney Comes to Pierceton.”

This year’s Pierceton Days are Aug. 4-5. Organizer Kim Rose wants everyone to be aware that the annual parade and the annual car show switched days. This year, the parade was moved to Friday, Aug. 4.

There’s still plenty of time to catch other fun events. The car show will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5. The first 50 cars to register are free.

Other events include: a garage sale at the Pierceton American Legion, open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. A fish fry is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days; carnival rides started at 5 p.m. Friday and noon on Saturday; free carriage rides are from 5-9 p.m. Saturday.

Musical performances will happen each night with Miss Kitty Revange playing in the park Friday at 8 p.m. and Rain Kings Band at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Weather permitting there will also be hot air balloon rides from 7-8 p.m. Saturday.
