AKRON – The Lutheran Health Network will host an educational event very important to high school athletes on Aug. 10 at Tippecanoe Valley High School.

Valley athletes and their parents are invited to attend a meeting that will focus on nutrition, concussions and heat-related illnesses.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the TVHS gym and is free to athletes and their parents or guardians.

Jessica Riffle, a Clinical Dietician at Kosciusko Community Hospital, will speak on nutrition for athletes. Matt Hauck, a physical therapist with KCH Regional Rehabilitation, will speak on the topics of concussions and hear-related illnesses.
