
Arletha Arbaugh, formerly of Warsaw, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:31 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Centre in Wabash at the age of 94.
She was born on Aug. 24, 1922 in Portland, Indiana to James Clifford Koon and Verda Bell (Read) Koon. On June 18, 1948 in Portland she was married to Paul Harvey Arbaugh, who passed away on Sept. 23, 2012.
Arletha was a resident of Kosciusko County since 1950 where she was an active member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church. She worked for many years as a secretary in Warsaw for the late Dr. Keogh. Arletha was an avid bridge player and had the spiritual gift of hospitality. She was also a proud member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, a social service organization. The women of Psi Iota Xi have contributed millions of dollars to philanthropic projects, meeting needs in their communities and the nation, particularly in the areas of fine arts, music, literature, speech and hearing.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Susan and spouse Steven Wildman (Boulder, Colorado); and Becky and spouse Rick White (Warsaw, Indiana). Also surviving are four grandchildren: Julie and spouse Cory Albert (Webster, New York); David and spouse Haley White (Traverse City, Michigan); Leslie and spouse Grant Feeny (Tumwater, Washington); Brittany Wildman (Salt Lake City, Utah); four great-grandchildren: Gwenevere and Alice White (Traverse City, Michigan); and Owen and Eleanor Albert (Webster, New York).
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson: Jason Wildman, two sisters: Vera Stults and Emma Bailey, and three brothers: Walter, Harry and Dutch Koon.
No visitation is planned, friends and family are welcome to attend a graveside service that will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26 at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Dr. Erik Ohman. Those attending are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Memorial donations in Arletha’s name may be directed to the Deacon’s Fund of the Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 210 S. High Street, Warsaw, Indiana and would be appreciated by the family.
