PIERCETON — This year’s Pierceton Days, which will take place Aug. 4-5, is going to have a slightly different schedule than years past.
Organizer Kim Rose wants everyone to be aware that the annual parade and the annual car show are switching days.
This year the parade will be held on Friday, Aug. 4, with line-up starting at 6 p.m. at the elementary school and the parade starting at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is “Disney Comes to Pierceton.”
The car show will then take place Saturday, Aug. 5 starting at 5 p.m. The first 50 cars to register are free.
Other events include: a garage sale at the Pierceton American Legion, open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, as well as a fish fry from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. both days; carnival rides starting 5 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday; and free carriage rides from 5-9 p.m. on Saturday.
Music performances will happen each night with Miss Kitty Revange playing in the park Friday at 8 p.m. and Rain Kings Band at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Weather permitting there will also be hot air balloon rides 7-8 p.m. Saturday.
