Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following incident:

• 8:14 p.m. Thursday, June 29. A female on CR 29, Syracuse, reported being slapped, punched and strangled by an individual in front of her two children, beginning around 10 p.m. June 28 and ending around 8 p.m. June 29.
