Bonnie L. Shepherd, 61, North Manchester, went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 15 at 7:27 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was born September 13, 1955, in Warsaw to Amos and Rosie (Howard) Owens. She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1974.

On May 26, 1973 she married Larry Shepherd. Bonnie was an office custodian at Strauss Veal Feeds for 14 years. She was a member of Victory Rock Church, Pierceton. She loved to listen to Christian music, but most of all she loved spending time with family and her church family. Bonnie was a people person, with a loving heart, and a passion for sharing God’s love.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Shepherd, North Manchester; son, Chad (Kayla Handing) Shepherd, North Manchester; daughter, Aimee (Benji) Blocher, North Manchester; brothers, Earman (Ivy) Owens, Earl (Kathy) Owens, Tacoma, WA and Ellis (Dee) Owens, Alexandria; sisters, Norma Meade, South Whitley, Centha McKenzie, North Manchester, and Sue (Don) Murphy, South Whitley and five grandchildren.

One brother, Edward Owens, and two sisters, Edith Minnix and Juanita Wolford, are deceased.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 19 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, IN. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20 at Victory Rock Church, 6170 South 500 East, Pierceton, IN and calling one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.  Pastor Charles Trout will officiate.

Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
