LIGONIER – Several smiling faces came away with memories after the completion of the Summer Dash mile and half-mile races this past weekend.

Dakota Thompson held off Jordan Shoemaker by one second to claim the overall top run in the mile race at 4:47, Shoemaker at 4:48.

Brant Morgan and Brody Mast were the top two individuals in the half-mile race.

The winners from the Summer Dash One Mile and 1/2 Mile races are, in front from left, Genesis Martinez 1st girl 1/2 mile and Brant Morgan 1st boy 1/2 mile; Back: Brian Shepherd grand master, Dakota Thompson overall, Mike Flora Master, Kirstin Alles overall, Tammi Hicks master (all in the one mile).
