Grace College Track: Lancers Honored For Academics

Grace College SportsWINONA LAKE – Eight members of the Grace College track and field teams were given academic honors for their performance in the classroom during the 2016-17 school year.

The men’s team had seven student-athletes receive the distinction of being a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, and Emma Mitchell represented the women’s team. Grace’s seven male Scholar-Athletes were second-most in the Crossroads League and sixth-most in the NAIA.

Nigel Ngwenya, Hunter Reed, Timothy Drew, Austin Keisling, Nathan Lane, Bennett Parker and Joel Zook finished the year as NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

To receive Scholar-Athlete status, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
