Noble D. Mentzel
Noble D. Mentzel, 90, Tippecanoe, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2017 in Woodlawn Hospital of Rochester.
Noble was born the son of Charles and Leah Sneff Mentzel on Feb. 24, 1927. He was retired from Bendix Corporation as pipe fitter/welder.
Noble served his country for three years in the Navy during World War II. He had many hobbies that he enjoyed; working on the farm, hunting, fishing, cutting firewood and raising exotic animals.
On Aug. 30, 1947 he married the love of his life, Deloris who shared the past 69 years; also surviving are his daughters: Tena Williams of Warsaw; Susie Kiefer of Bremen; and son John Mentzel of Tippecanoe. Noble was blessed with four grandchildren: Mindi Williams (Nick Kline), Jessie (Warren) Schultz, Blake (Julie) Williams; Alicia Kiefer (Mark Hatch); great grandchildren: Danny, Zack, Emma and Owen. He will be missed by all.
Preceding in death were his parents, son Charles “Dan,” along with sisters and brothers.
In honoring his wishes there will not be any services at this time. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
