Warsaw Baseball: Tigers Fall To Barons
WARSAW – The Warsaw baseball team lost to DeKalb 7-2 in its own Tiger Tournament Saturday.
The Barons used a four-run third inning to defeat the hosts in the opening round of the annual event.
Warsaw scored single runs in the fourth and seventh innings in the loss. The hosts were outhit 10-5 and had five errors in the contest.
Braxton Tennant led the offense for the Tigers with two hits, including a double. Catcher Bryce Sensibaugh led the defensive effort for the hosts. Jordan Jones took the pitching loss.
The second round of games were cancelled due to thunderstorms.
Warsaw, now 7-19, will host Elkhart Central Monday night to wrap up the regular season. The Tigers will then face Central again Thursday night in the Class 4-A Elkhart Memorial Sectional at 7 p.m.
