BOURBON — Triton’s baseball team plated 12 runs in the third inning en route to a 27-1 pasting of Hoosier North Athletic Conference foe Culver Community at home in Bourbon Thursday.

Zac Pitney’s three-run homer in the first helped stake the Trojans to a 4-0 first-inning lead. Pitney homered again in the third as part of a five-RBI night. Connor Pitney drove in four runs while doubling twice, and he, Zac, Nate Flenar — who tripled twice — Max Slusser and Connor Yoder each recorded two hits for Triton, which out-hit Culver 12-3. The Trojans also took advantage of 13 walks on the way to their 13th win of the year.

Triton travels to Culver for a rematch tonight at 5 p.m., then hosts Argos in a doubleheader Saturday starting at 11 a.m.
