Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following incidents:

• 7:38 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 9400 block of North Koher Road, Syracuse. Employees at Stuckman’s Salvage reported an attempted burglary.
• 5:44 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 100 block of EMS C29A Lane, Warsaw. Julia S. Valentiny reported theft of a kayak.
• 8:13 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 300 block of South Oak Street, Mentone. Kelly L. Owens reported theft of an iphone.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following incidents:

• 6:11 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 200 block of South Bronson Street, Warsaw. A battery was reported.
• 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 1000 block of East Arthur Street. City of Warsaw employees reported criminal mischief.
• 8:19 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 100 block of Robmar Drive, Warsaw. Francois Jorg Peter Geiger reported someone broke into his car at the Hampton Inn parking lot and stole his GPS.
