Triton stepped out of conference Saturday and downed Plymouth, 8-2, at Keyser Field.

The Lady Trojans wrapped 11 hits on the day, three from Taytum Hargrave, who doubled and drove in two runs. Nicole Sechrist also doubled, scored two runs and had an RBI while Courtney Jennings and Kate Gardner added two hits apiece.

Hannah Woodard got the win, going all seven innings and allowing five hits and one earned run. Woodard struck out five to pick up her fourth win of the season.

Triton (13-7) will visit Pioneer on Monday.

Baseball

Pioneer swept a Hoosier North Athletic Conference doubleheader against Triton Saturday, winning 13-3 and 6-2.

Statistics were not made immediately available.

The two wins moves Pioneer to 8-3 in the HNAC, a half game ahead of Triton’s 8-4 mark which sits Pioneer third in the conference race. LaVille currently sits at 12-1 and Winamac is 10-1 heading into the final week of the season.
