MILFORD — The following events will take place at the Milford Public Library:
NUTRITION PROGRAM
Nutritional program, Black Bean Fiesta, will be presented at 6:30 p.m. May 22 in the Milford Public Library meeting room. Listen to Jackie Franks, Purdue Extension Home and Health Services Educator, talk about wonderful, tasty black beans. Find out how to use black beans to make your meals healthier and more delicious. Sign-up will be available at the adult circulation desk starting May 8. Attendees will have a chance to win door prizes.
CLOSED FOR MEMORIAL DAY The Milford Public Library will be closed for Memorial Day on Monday, May 29. Staff members and volunteers will walk in the Memorial Day parade as construction workers to promote summer reading theme “Build a Better World.” Please turn in materials in the drop boxes on the south side of the library.
MILFORD LIBRARY AT MILFORD FEST The Milford Public Library will host a “Build a Better World” booth from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Milford Fest May 27. All ages can pay one dollar to compete to build the tallest LEGO tower under one minute. All donations collected support the Summer Reading Program.
MILFORD FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY BOOK SALE Be sure to check out the Friends of Milford Public Library Annual Book Sale during Milford Fest. The sale will be located on the library corner and will be there from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All money raised is used to support the library and its programs.
