A pair of baseball briefs and a softball cancellation that surfaced Friday, May 5.

• The NorthWood-Northridge varsity and JV baseball games were postponed due to standing water in NorthWood’s outfield. The games have been moved to Friday, May 19 at NorthWood. The Panthers currently sit atop the Northern Lakes Conference standings at 8-0 and are 15-1 overall.

• The Wawasee baseball games at Fort Wayne Concordia for Saturday morning have been pushed back to a noon start instead of the original 10 a.m. The varsity teams will play first, the JV teams to battle afterwards.

• The Eastside Softball Invite has been cancelled, to which Wawasee was a participant. The games will not be made up.
