Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:

5:32 p.m. Sunday, April 30, South CR 250E, north of East Pierceton Road, Winona Lake. Drivers: Ian J. Jones, 17, South SR 15, Claypool, and Nicolette Wiley, 37, East CR 1000S, Claypool. Jones over-turned and then over-corrected while turning at the intersection, striking WIley’s vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

5:19 a.m. Monday, May 1, West Market Street and South Lake Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Alison M. Ousley, 25, Wooster Road, Winona Lake, and Norma Meza, 41, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Ousley attempted to stop at the light when her brakes failed, causing her to collide into Meza’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

5:51 a.m. Monday, May 1, South Hand Avenue, north of West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: John E. Mattson, 28, South Mallard Road, Mentone, and Alicia M. Henriott-Conner, 29, East CR 500N, Rochester. Mattson rear-ended Henriott-Conner when Henriott-Conner braked to avoid flooding. Damage up to $2,500.

Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

6:53 a.m. Monday, May 1, South SR 19, south of West CR 500S, Mentone. Driver: Jamie L. Odell, 35, North SR 19, Akron. Odell struck a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
