KENDALLVILLE – Grace Erwin and Dani Jaquay both homered as East Noble pounded Wawasee, 14-4, Saturday morning in a run-rule game after five.

East Noble put the first four batters on base in the second inning, taking a 4-0 lead in the process. Taylor Lahee later singled, putting the Knights up stunningly 7-0.

Wawasee, which has lost all three of its games out of conference, got RBI singles from Riley Kunkle, Kayla White, Beth Flannery and Ale Brito.

East Noble (9-1) had 16 hits in all, three each from Lahee and Carissa Gruszczyk. Erwin and Jaquay combined to drive in eight runs, Erwin’s two-run homer coming in the first and Jaquay’s a three-run bomb in the six-run third. Brito and White had two hits each for the Lady Warriors.

Wawasee’s JV game with East Noble was rained out.

Wawasee (13-3) will wrap up the first round of the Northern Lakes Conference round robin Monday visiting Concord.
