NORTH WEBSTER — Katie Shelby was recently recognized for five years of service at North Webster Community Public Library. The recognition was announced by Library Director Helen Leinbach.

Shelby joined the library staff in March 2012 as a youth services clerk and was later appointed youth services manager. In 2015, she accepted the position of youth cataloguer and is responsible for processing all books and materials in the youth services department.

Experienced in working with youth, she has also served at Saint Mary’s College Library in Notre Dame and University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne.

A South Whitley native, Shelby graduated from Whitko High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Mary’s College. She earned Level 5 Librarian Certification from Indiana State Library.
