GOSHEN — Philip Kevin Smith, 32, Syracuse, died Tuesday, April 18, after he was found stabbed Monday, April 17, in Goshen.

According to information from Goshen Police Department, police were called around 9:17 p.m. Monday of an injured man in the 700 block of Lincolnway East (US 33), Goshen. Smith was found lying on the ground next to a pickup truck with a stab wound to his chest.

Paramedics with the Goshen Fire Department treated and assessed Smith, who was then airlifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Smith succumbed to his injuries Tuesday.

The accident is being investigated and there is no additional information available at this time.
