Robert Lee Thomas, 81, Warsaw, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 in his home.

On Oct. 19, 1935, he was born in Etna Green to Claude and Ada (Harley) Thomas.  He was united in marriage on Jan. 26, 1973 to Edna Shepherd McIntosh who survives.

Robert lived most of his life in the Warsaw area. He attended Etna Green High School and also retired from Sun Metal in 2001. In retirement, he enjoyed his family, his church family, his woodworking shop, his cats and especially enjoyed a heated game of euchre with John and Kelly. Robert was an active member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool.

He is also survived by his son, Steven (Penny) Thomas, Warsaw; two daughters, Desiree (Darcy) Whetstone, Etna Green; and Ramona (Bob) Peterson, Warsaw; step son, Jim (Sharon) McIntosh, Warsaw; twelve grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.  Robert is also survived by his sister, Kathryn Greenawalt, Nappanee.  He was preceded in death by three brothers, five sisters and a great granddaughter.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 20 in First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna Green.

Visitation hours will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 in First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, Claypool.
