SOUTH WHITLEY – Ellie Snep was on point Wednesday afternoon, and had plenty of offensive help. Snep fired a one-hitter and Whitko’s bat were more than potent in a 12-0, five-inning softball win over West Noble.
Snep lost her no-hit bid with two outs in the fifth inning, a double in the right-center gap by Kaylie Warble the only Charger damage on the day. Snep had seven strikeouts and only two West Noble balls left the infield.
Shainna Bradley wielded the big stick for Whitko, driving in four runs and was one of three Wildcats with two hits, along with Andrea Snavely and Kennedy Krull. Snavely, Krull and Reannon Hopkins each drove in two runs and Anna Ousley scored three runs.
Whitko moves to 5-1 overall with its rivalry game Friday when Columbia City comes calling.
