Max E. Williams, 96, Bremen, passed away peacefully at 5:30 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2017, in his home.

Max was born Sept. 29, 1920, the son of William R. and Edith J. (Caldwell) Williams.

On Jan. 19, 1974, he married Martha Shanklin. His is survived by his wife, Martha and two children; Lisa (Kenneth) Moser of Bremen and David Williams of Plymouth; one granddaughter, Abigail McGlashen and great granddaughter, Sophia Boley.

Max proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army, serving in Patton’s 3rd Army. He was the previous owner/operator of Edgar County Title Co. and a member of the Grace Family Fellowship of Elkhart.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery with military honors.
