Rev. Donald “Don” Vincent Olmsted. 91, Rochester, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2017, at his residence.

He was born on Oct. 1, 1925 in Charles City, Iowa, the son of Henry and Dorothy (Kelley) Olmsted. On Aug. 28, 1947 in Willis, Kan., he married Lora Lowe. She preceded him in death on Sept. 9, 2008.

Rev. Olmsted had been a minister for the Wesleyan Church pastoring churches in Nebraska, Wisconsin and Indiana. He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his son, Stephen and wife Susan Olmsted, Rochester; five grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Olmsted Peterson, Darby, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his sons, David Olmsted on April 28, 1996; and Daryl Olmsted on Aug. 28, 2001; and several brothers and sisters.

Private services will be observed. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester.
