WARSAW — With cold weather still not moving out of the local area, First Friday’s “Spring Break Escape” theme didn’t feel much like a spring break. Temperatures were warmer than earlier in the week, with the lack of clouds and bountiful sunshine attempting to warm up the chilly 48 degrees.

Despite the cold, kids and families still ventured out to experience the “Spring Break Escape.” This month’s First Friday was extremely kid friendly, offering a bouncy castle slide, face painting and sand castle building. The bouncy castle and face painting by Marina Rodriguez, Warsaw, were the most popular, with kids lining up to get their turn.

The focus was certainly on the kids, as there was a noticeable lack of vendors compared to usual months.
