MARION — The Whitko baseball team enjoyed a sweep of Marion Saturday afternoon to move to 3-0 on the season. The Wildcats topped the Giants 6-2 in the first game and 6-3 in the finale.

Zach Morris picked up the win in the first game of the day with four innings pitched, recording five strikeouts and surrendering just three hits. Alex Bechtold was 2-3 at the plate with two runs, an RBI and two swiped bags in the contest.

In game two it was River West getting the win behind six strikeouts and two walks in a complete game, seven-inning effort out of the junior. Drew Bradford and Austin Hollowell were each 2-3. Bradford had a pair of RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base while Hollowell had an RBI.
