Mark B. Anderson, 82, Pierceton, passed away at 10:47 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in his residence.

On Sept. 19, 1934, he was born in Tabor City, N.C. to Jessie Clifton and Edna (Rich) Anderson. Mark was united in marriage to Carol Ann Hutchinson on Dec. 12, 1964 who preceded him in death on Nov. 15, 2005.

Living most of his life in Kosciusko County, Mark was retired from Mike Gill Auto Parts where he worked for thirty two years.  He loved to travel and would take trips with his wife to the Western parts of the United States.  He enjoyed working with his hands and loved helping people.  He was a very generous man who touched a lot of people over the years.  In his spare time, Mark enjoyed working and collecting cars, fishing and camping.

Mark is survived by four sons, Mark M. (and spouse Linda) Anderson, Punta Gorda, Fla.; Michael S. (and spouse Rhonda) Anderson, South Whitley; Mitchell L. (and spouse Connie) Anderson, Bluffton; Marvin W. Anderson, Pierceton; his daughter, Marcia M. (and spouse Denny) Anderson Prater, Pierceton; two sisters, Tibie Packer, North Webster; Peggy Meck, Pierceton; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by one grandchild, one sister and four brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 3, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton with Pastor Barry Faucett officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.

Visitation hours will be from 2–6 p.m. Sunday, April 2 in the Pierceton funeral Chapel.
