Clara Elizabeth Wiley, 81, South Whitley, and formerly of Louisville, Ill., died at 4:10 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the home of her son, where she had been residing since October 2015.

She was born Jan. 12, 1936 in Granite City, Ill. a daughter of Clarence and Erma (Bratton) Thompson. She graduated from Louisville High School in Illinois.

On Oct. 9, 1954 she was united in marriage to Perry A. Wiley. They made their home in Louisville and later Chicago before moving to Youngstown, Ohio then later returning to Louisville.

Clara is survived by her husband of over 62 years, Perry; a son, Kelly (Darlene) Wiley of South Whitley; two grandson, Jason (Debra) Wiley of Fort Wayne and Jenny (Lucas) Neer of Pierceton; and five great grandchildren, Jessica, Joseph and Perry Wiley and Chaselynn and Breawynn Neer.

A sister, Irma Hyland, preceded her in death.

There will be no visitation or service.
