WCPL Warms Up For Spring

WARSAW — Warsaw Community Public Library is warming up for spring with movies, programs, crafts and more. Chess Club meets at 10 a.m. every Saturday.

  • The library will be showing various movies. Dates are Tuesday, April 4 at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 12 at 5:45 p.m., Wednesday, April 19 at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m., and Wednesday, April 26 at 5:45 p.m. Call or go online for movie titles.
  • Sally Reuter returns with a wet-felted egg craft at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4.
  • Teens are invited to Drop In Zone at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5.
  • Off the Shelf Book Club will discuss, “The Winter Garden,” by Kristin Hannah, at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 6.
  • The Lake City Piecemakers quilt club meets at 9:15 a.m. Friday, April 7.
  • Learn new microwave recipes with the Cookbook Club at 10 a.m. Monday, April 10.
  • Join the Knit and Purl Club at 6 p.m. Monday, April 10.
  • Writer’s Club will share favorite topics at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 10.
  • The library celebrates its 100th birthday party from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11.
  • Come for one-on-one technology help from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, and/or 4:00-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 26.
  • The Board Game Club will reconvene at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 15, focusing on lesser-known games. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own.
  • Scrabble Club begins at noon Saturday, April 15.
  • The Hooked on Crochet club meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 18.
  • Learn about Argentina from Warsaw Community High School foreign language teacher Heather Graham at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 18.
  • Teens and adults of all ages can bring an old T-shirt and learn to make it into a bag. The craft begins at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22.
  • Sue Delagrange, Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, will speak about nutrition at 1 p.m. Monday, April 24. The topic is to be announced.
  • Faith Ketterer will lead a cardmaking class at 6 p.m. Monday, April 24. The cost is $4 at time of registration and $4 at class time.
  • Loved the book? Hated the movie? Loved or hated both? Come share during the Evening Book and Movie Discussion, set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 25. The book/movie adaptation will be announced soon.
