Syracuse Town HallSYRACUSE — Syracuse Board of Zoning Appeals considered three petitions, two by the same person, during its regular monthly meeting Thursday evening, March 16, in Syracuse Town Hall.

Motorsports Midwest LLC, Maple Grove Street east of Huntington Street, was granted an exception to allow the addition of car, truck and ATV sales, but with several conditions attached to the approval. Matt Sandy, assistant planning director for Kosciusko County, said among the conditions are no outside storage, no repair or service work on site, vehicles must be in good saleable condition with no age limits, there is no parking within 20 feet of the intersection and more.

Larry Hill was granted an exception to allow an addition to a detached garage, creating an oversized accessory building. The property is located on Branch Street, northeast of Huntington Street. Hill was also granted a variance to allow the addition and detached garage to be 5 feet from the side property line.
