AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley closed out a fine middle school wrestling season over the weekend at the Running Rivers Conference meet. The Vikings were second as a team and had four class champions.

Winning their weight classes were Ethan Sprague at 75 pounds, who went 3-0; Luis Castillo at 130 pounds, who went 3-0; Tyler Nine at 185 pounds, who went 4-0; and Johnny Gonsalez at 200, who went 4-0.

Taking runner up spots were Drake Montelongo at 90, Hunter Eherenman at 95 and Zack Burke at 125, all 2-1 on the day.

Third-place wrestlers from Valley included Branson McBrier at 115, Braxton Davis at 165 and Ian Becker at 275, all 3-1 on the day.
