SYRACUSE — For a couple of hours there was fun, food and dancing and also a time of bonding between fathers and daughters. Lakeland Youth Center held its annual Daddy-Daughter Dance Saturday, March 4, in the Oakwood Events Center in Syracuse.

With DJ Vinny V (Jamie V. Salazar) providing the music, there was a limbo game, line dancing, plenty of candy, snacks and ice cream. The theme for this year’s dance was Candy Land.

Fathers danced with their daughters or sat together and shared food and conversation. There were plenty of smiles and a lot of energy burned by girls and their dads dressed especially for the occasion on a special night.
