Mary A. McIntyre, 86, Bourbon, passed away in her home with family at her side at 3 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017.
Mary was born the daughter of William A. and Gladys (Hammond) Parsons on April 30, 1930, in Terra Haute. She moved to Bourbon in December of 1968. She was retired from Triton School Corporation where she was the Financial Secretary and Treasurer. She was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Auxiliary, Plymouth VFW and Indiana Association of School Business Officials.
Mary loved reading, painting, birds, her Kindle and her cat Abigail. Mary was a graduate of Washington High School June of 1948 and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church of Bremen.
She married Lowell Burcham and then she married Gerald D. McIntyre March 5, 1969, he died March 27, 1992.
Surviving are her children: Beverly Paul of Elkhart; Julie (Phill) Milliser of Plymouth; Tim McIntyre of Bourbon; Todd (Jammie) McIntyre of Bourbon; daughter-in-law Julie (Keith) Burcham Roberts of Union Mills and son-in-law Dean Sauer of Bourbon. Also surviving are her 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and her cat Abigail.
Mary was preceded in death her Husband Gerald, Son Tom Burcham (Jan. 8, 1993), daughter Tammy Sauer (Dec. 3, 2015), grandson Zachary, sister Kathryn Cass and brothers: William and John Parsons.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 and noon-1 p.m. Friday Feb. 24 in the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home with burial following in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice or the American Lung or American Cancer Association.
