WARSAW — Troy Akers, principal of Warsaw Community High School, announced Thursday, Feb. that Lauren Orr has been named a finalist in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program.

To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, finalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to this level of the competition. Students must demonstrate a record of academic excellence as well as completion of the PSAT and SAT.

The selection of some 7,500 Merit Scholarship® winners from the group of more than 15,000 Finalists is now in progress and announcements will begin this spring.
