WARSAW — Julie Mikel has volunteered at Combined Community Services since September of 2015, spending two days a week helping in Dane’s Family Pantry and one day a week as the front receptionist.

She is married with four children and used to work full time at the Post Office. Several years ago, she had a back surgery that made it necessary for her to quit her job. After a yearlong recovery, she decided to find something to do to fill her time and keep her busy. She found an ad in the paper expressing a need for volunteers in the CCS food pantry and she thought that helping people sounded like a good thing to do with her spare time. And help people, she has! Not only has she invested in the lives of CCS clients, but she has been a great blessing to CCS as an agency as well.

Her kindness, dependability, and willingness to jump in and help with anything we need make her a standout addition to the group of volunteers CCS has had over the years and life at CCS would not be the same without her.
