
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was caught selling stolen jewelry after his mother kicked him out of her house.
Taylor Scott Pletcher, 22, 610 N. Union St., Warsaw, is being charged with theft, a level 6 felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department spoke to the victim who advised she had kicked Pletcher out of her residence several months ago and she believed he stole jewelry from the residence while living there.
Among missing items were gold rings, class rings, gold chains, earrings and pendants stolen, estimated to be valued at $3,500.
The officer found that Pletcher had sold items on six different occasions to Snyder Coin Shop beginning Jan. 22.
According to the affidavit, when the officer displayed jewelry to the victim she was able to identify them as the jewelry that was stolen from her residence.
The officer obtained receipt tickets from the coin shop that included Pletcher’s driver’s license number.
