Shawne L. Beatty, 46, Syracuse, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at his home.

He was born on May 9, 1970 in Elkhart to Ronald Ray and Pamela M. (Bertch) Beatty.

He graduated in 1988 from Elkhart Central High School and was a lifetime Elkhart, Goshen, and Syracuse area resident. He was a former builder at Genesis Construction in Goshen and a tool and die operator at Norco Industries in Elkhart.

He is survived by his companion, Misty Conrad, Syracuse; his son, Matthew Fox, Alabama; two daughters: Magdalene Fox and Sierra Beatty, both of Elkhart; his mother, Pamelon Robinson, Elkhart; his step-sister, Casey Spearow, Mottville, Mich.; paternal grandmother, Ethel Shue, Elkhart; maternal grandmother, Marie Bender, Elkhart; aunts and uncles: Charles Beatty, Elkhart; Danny Beatty, Bristol; Steve Bertch, Elkhart; Sue (Bob) Sowers, Niles, Mich.; John (Becky) Bender, Elkhart. 

He was preceded in death by his father, grandfathers, Mike Bender and Charles Beatty, and uncle Terry Bender.

Visitation will be from 3–7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at Owen Family Funeral Home. 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Ray Caudill and Pastor Rob Berghorst officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw. Private family burial will be in the Rice Cemetery.
