Edgewood Ladies Continue Unbeaten Seasons
SYRACUSE – The Edgewood Middle School girls basketball teams continued their unbeaten seasons with two wins at Wawasee Monday night.
The Edgewood 8th grade ladies posted a 32-13 win and the 7th grade squad topped the hosts by a 37-13 final.
The trio of Brooklyn Fitzgerald, Audrey Grimm and Kensie Ryman each had six points to pace the 8th grade to its win. Lindsey Bradley had five points, while Madi Johnson added four. The duo of Faith Dlp and Rebecca Hoppus each scored two points and Kendra Love one for the winners.
Abby Steiner led Wawasee with eight points. Emma Dippon had three points and Tate Cowan and Allie Haberman each scored one point.
Mackenzie Sokol had a big night with 15 points to lead the Edgewood 7th grade to its victory.
Bailie Stephens scored seven points and Hannah Hatfield five for the winners. Marin Hart had four points and the trio of Eryn Watmough, Jaslyn Brock and Abby Sanner each had two points for Edgewood.
Both Edgewood teams are now 8-0 on the season. They play at crosstown rival Lakeview on Wednesday night.
