LAGRANGE — The Wawasee boys basketball team made the trip to Lakeland High School Saturday night to take on a potential sectional opponent in the Lakers. The Warriors were left empty-handed as Lakeland earned a 35-32 win.

Camron Bontrager led the Lakers with 12 points while Cole Harp added 10 for the home team. Wawasee’s Bennett Hoffert led all players with 14 points. The two teams were tied going into the fourth quarter but Lakeland outscored Wawasee 14-11 in the final frame to steal the win.

Wawasee (5-10) hosts Northridge Thursday night.

Wawasee’s JV won 56-36 to move to 12-3 on the year.
