PLYMOUTH – The Edgewood Middle School boys basketball teams each picked up first-round wins over Plymouth in the NELMSC Tournament Thursday night.

Jackson Dawson had 15 points as the Edgewood 7th grade team posted a 41-13 win. Jackson Elliott had seven points, while Isaiah Courtois and Ian Shepherd  each scored four.

The trio of Drew McCleary, Mason Martz and Bishop Walters each had 13 points to pace the Edgewood 8th grade squad to a 56-37 victory. Brock Poe added 11 points for the winners.

Both Edgewood teams will finish tournament play on Saturday at Crestview Middle School in Huntington. The 7th grade plays at 9 a.m. with the 8th grade contest to follow at around 10:30.
